One Church offers state-of-the-art facilities for hire.

A range of spaces are available, from a 500-seat auditorium and 200-seat multi-purpose room, to a number of large rooms with adjacent multi-purpose break out spaces, as well as smaller more intimate meeting rooms. These are available for hire to corporate and community groups, small businesses and not-for-profit organisations at very competitive rates.

Foyer and Hub

The foyer is a large open space with lots of natural light and is located directly adjacent to the main auditorium. It provides access to Function Room 2 and Meeting Rooms 3, 4 and 5. The foyer is fully air conditioned.

The foyer consists of one external entry point with double automatic doors. Couches and chairs are located throughout this space. Two portable coffee carts are also available in this area; these contain power outlets and are ideal for serving morning or afternoon teas, especially to large groups of people.

This space is used for pre-conference arrivals and is an ideal area for setting up displays, registration tables, morning and afternoon teas and information booths.

The Hub is another large open space adjacent to the foyer. It also services the kitchen, toilets and multi-purpose room, and holds the main reception. It is fully air conditioned and also has a gas log fire with cafe style seating, a large servery and TV screens with a simple audio system.

It is accessible via the main automatic double doors or via the Chapel foyer and main foyer.

Function Room 2

This large multi-purpose room is self-contained and perfect for seminars, larger meetings or group presentations. A small kitchenette and male and female toilets can all be accessed from the space. It is also equipped with a built-in digital projection, sound system and digital lighting.

The room has two walls of floor to ceiling windows, looking towards a private garden. This room is very flexible and can be filled with natural light or blacked out by curtains if required. There is also access to an enclosed courtyard that leads to a small children’s playground. From this function room, there is access to three other smaller meeting rooms that work well as breakout rooms.

It is best suited to seminar style functions with a seating capacity of 100. For sit-down catered events, there is a 60- seat capacity.

This room is very popular for corporate events, information evenings, informal gatherings, seminars, presentations and training sessions.

Meeting Room 3

Meeting Room 3 is a well-lit, self-contained meeting room with a small kitchenette and audio-visual equipment. A mounted plasma screen capable of displaying presentations from laptops makes it easy to communicate efficiently and effectively in this room. It has a seating capacity for 30 people when set in seminar style. The room transforms well into a boardroom setting, seating up to 12 people.

This room can be used as a breakout space, boardroom, training room or to host an intimate presentation.

Meeting Room 4

Meeting Room 4 is a self-contained meeting room with a small kitchenette and audio-visual equipment. A mounted plasma screen capable of displaying presentations from laptops makes it easy to communicate efficiently and effectively in this room. This space has direct access to the main reception area and foyer.

It has a seating capacity for 30 people when set in seminar style. The room transforms well into a boardroom setting, seating up to 12 people comfortably.

This room can be used as a breakout space, boardroom, training room or to host an intimate presentation.

Main Auditorium

The auditorium is a contemporary multi-purpose ‘theatre’ with state-of-the-art sound and lighting facilities. With its 500 individual-seat capacity, large stage and back of stage areas, the Blackburn auditorium makes is an exceptionally versatile space. This facility is ideal for a range of events from conferences and presentations, through to concerts and musical productions. The space is fully enclosed with no window or natural lighting, making it ideal to use day or night.

There is a meeting room that runs off the auditorium as well as a small parents’ room. Both rooms have plasma screens capable of streaming live video from the aAuditorium. The auditorium has a large foyer area that is accessible by two wide doors, allowing an efficient flow of people at all times.

Technical equipment in the Blackburn Auditorium is to be operated by One Community Church Technical Support Personnel only. A fee per hour will be charged for these services. Services available include full-production lighting, digital projection and full-production sound. A pre-event meeting with Technical Support Personnel is recommended if you book this space.

Chapel

The Chapel is a contemporary building with high ceilings.  At full capacity, the space can hold up to 100 seats and is very flexible. It is ideal for a range of smaller events, from conferences and presentations through to weddings and funerals. The chapel looks out onto a small garden and can be booked with it’s own private foyer area which can be separated from the main foyer/Hub

There are two small meeting rooms nearby, as well as a single toilet and small kitchenette for tea and coffee.

Technical equipment includes a projector and simple audio system.

Main Kitchen

Our stainless steel semi-industrial kitchen contains a dishwasher and two stainless steel ovens. The kitchen has a serving window opening directly to Function Room 1.

It houses an instant boil hot water system, glass door fridge, catering size fridge and freezer (located in storeroom), industrial dishwasher, and two semi-industrial gas ovens and cook tops (900mm stainless steel).

This area is governed by food handling and safety regulations. Use and operation of the kitchen requires liaison with our Facility Bookings Coordinator and our Food Safety Officer will require each group to comply with current food handling and safety guidelines.

There is an additional servery in front of the kitchen facing onto the Hub.

Please note: Basic cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils are not available at this time. Please discuss specific requirements and needs at the time of booking.

Multi-Purpose Room

The Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) is a contemporary and creative multi-purpose ‘theatre’ with excellent sound and lighting facilities. With its 200+ individual seating capacity, flexible staging and back-of-stage areas, theatre curtains and state-of-the-art lighting, this room offers an exceptionally versatile space. This facility is ideal for a range of events, from conferences and presentations through to concerts and musical productions. The space is fully enclosed with no window or natural lighting, making it ideal to use either day or night.

There are male and female toilets available at the back of the room and the MPR is accessed via double swinging doors off the Hub.

Technical equipment is to be operated by One Community Church Technical Support Personnel only. A fee per hour will be charged for these services.
Services available include full-production lighting, digital projection and full-production sound. A pre-event meeting with Technical Support Personnel is recommended if you book this space.
