The role of the Council of Elders is to be the primary governance group of the church. While the day-to-day running of the church is handled by the Senior Minister, the Senior Leadership Team and the staff, the Council of Elders hold the Senior Minister accountable and give attention to the overall vision, direction and health of the church.
Adele has been an active member here at One since the mid 1990’s. She runs her own online store. Adele previously served as an Elder here at One for three years from 2004. She is married to Kelvin and they have two children, Nathan and Olivia.
Andy has been an active member of One Community Church since he was 2 years old! He is a husband to Andrea and father of 3 young boys. He currently serves currently as a Purpose Group leader and K Team member. Andy is a Senior Project Manager for Outware Mobile, and in his spare time provides volunteer IT / web site services for several Christian organisations.
Greg has been an active member of this church for many years and currently serves as Chair of the Council of Elders. Greg is also involved in the leadership of Small Groups, Service Team and heads our annual Philippines Exposure Team trips. Greg is on staff member at Carey Baptist Grammar School where he teaches mathematics and economics – as well as being a Head of House on the pastoral team. He is passionate about ensuring every person who comes to One Church feels a sense of welcome and connection.
Mark began attending One in 1997. He is currently the lead for our CAP Money courses and is a member of a Sunday morning K team. Professionally, Mark is a business consultant with over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. Mark is married to Charlotte and they have two daughters, Emma and Lauren.
Warren has been part of our church family since 1983. Warren had various ministry roles in our church over the years including two previous terms as an Elder. He is an accountant and is currently the Financial Director for Renold Australia. He is married to Gill and they have 4 adult children and a growing number of grandchildren.
Ant has been attending One Church since 2016. Ant has extensive Executive Leadership, Management and Governance Experience with a number of NGO’s and Multinational Companies. Ant is the Head of Fundraising for TEAR Australia.
Sarah has been involved in a wide range of church activities including youth leadership, small group leadership, member of the One Justice committee and co-Chair of the Environmental subcommittee of One Justice, as well as being a co-coordinator of the Ethical Market since 2018.
